Thanks, bb. I appreciate THAT. But this fandom is so damn talented. I’m just happy to participate.

Two major fanfic writers and a fanartist threatened me today. I just needed a minute, goddamn. This does not alleviate the pressure to perform at all.

She sits on her roof with fire lanterns once a month. A lighter, marker pen and eyes glued to the sky.
No one’s ever figured it out. No ones ever asked why she does it. If they ever found the remains of the lanterns they probably wouldn’t need to ask.
She writes her wishes on them. Scripted in pen. Her hopes and desires.
It started innocently enough. It had started out like a christmas wishes for puppies and music and for everyone to be happy.
In high school she starts to wish for less. She has everything she’s ever wanted. Except one thing. Always except one thing.
Santana’s head rests on the pillow on her bed inside her room. She didn’t stir when Brittany left her embrace for the roof. Nor when she ran her hand through the girl’s hair as she wrote on the lantern.
The night is illuminated by her light. The black words of her wish stand out.
Its a wish. The same one she’s been repeating for months now. Always the same. Always about Santana.
‘Promise me forever.’
The lantern slips through her fingers and away. Away and hopefully to someone who can make it true.
Brittany waits.
